Hi everybody! My name is Anita and I am Kathy's oldest daughter. I wanted to write on my mom's blog about my new hairstyle. This weekend I went to my little brother and sister's bus driver's house to get my hair styled. She relaxed it, then she braided it. I had fun at her house because Mrs. Thomas bought me a pizza and I got to watch movies with her daughters. One of her daughters is a 6th grader too, just like me!
I never knew how long it would take to get my hair braided! It took almost 9 entire hours! Now I feel very very excited. I can't wait to show my friends, and other people too! My mom said that she loved it and that I "looked more like 16 instead of 13." She doesn't want me to grow up that fast!

Anita, I love your new hairstyle. YOu look fabulous. And, as a mother of 2 teenage daughters, I think she you still look 13 and that is a good thing.
Don't ever try to grow up too quickly or act older than you are. YOu are 13 for a reason. Trust me, all the other years will come at the appropriate time and so will all the wonderful blessings that go along with that age.
Enjoy being 13, you will never be this age again.
