Enjoying our new family member

It's Tuesday ... kids have been in school for 4 days now (YAY!) and we're still waiting on news about Brandon's preschool assignment. He's SO ready to go that it's driving him (and me) crazy! It's just another "one of those things" that we deal with every year from our lovely school district.

Brandon doesn't mind so much because he gets to spend all day with our new family member, Connor. We've really become quite smitten with the kitten. (I was going to make one of those "I'm a poet and didn't know it" remarks, but then thought how silly that would sound coming from a 39 year old woman. Well, I guess I did it anyway. Blame it on the meds!) ;-)

Anyway, Connor's breeder sent us a picture this afternoon of our first meeting. How blessed are we to have such a little cutie in our family? Thank you, LaDonna for everything! Connor is doing so well and seems very happy. He and Brandon have really created a bond, but he loves all of the kids and seems to trust them completely as well! He is a big purring machine in a little bitty body! It will be fun watching him grow up.

Yesterday, some very dear friends of our family lost their father/grandfather. You are in our hearts and prayers. There are never adequate words to say when you lose somebody so close. Just know we are here if you need something, or simply need a shoulder to cry on or an ear to listen.
