Have you seen the commercial for the Hallmark Christmas ornament that has a countdown clock for Christmas? Well, I've seen the commercial, as have all of the kids. Problem is, we have yet to see a single one in the stores! So, we did a little internet searching and found a countdown clock that the kids have asked to be posted to the blog. Thanks for the idea, Anita, Nathan, Isaac, Alyssa and Brandon!
Myspace Countdown Clocks
Tonight we are expecting our first snow. Although it isn't going to be nearly as big as was first predicted, they're still calling for 1-3" of the white stuff by the time we wake up tomorrow morning. The kids have their rulers ready for measuring tomorrow! Their little gloves, hats, scarves, snow boots and coats are ready to be donned as soon as their cereal bowls have been emptied. Me? I'll sit inside by the sliding glass door sipping my tea and wishing I would get started wrapping the pile of gifts on my bedroom floor!
More numbers ... try this one! This past Tuesday, December 7th, 2010 (Pearl Harbor Day) my nephew, Evan Andrew Becker was born! What a blessing it was to be a part of his big day! He's absolutely gorgeous and healthy. Kristie is doing well, considering she just gave birth to a 9lb 10oz baby boy! He's a chunker!

Big Brother Christopher seeing his new baby brother for the first time ... too cute!
Aunt Kathy with Evan ... shortly after his birth ... I'm totally in love!
One more set of numbers, then it's time to go clean up the dinner mess. I spoke with my Nurse Coordinator, Gina, yesterday afternoon. After a friendly chat about my upcoming surgery on the 16th (it's minor ... no worries!) we discussed the results from my last blood work. Can I get a "YAY!!!!" from ya'll for my new CA-125? It was a 36!!! WHOOOOO HOOOOO!!!! I was in the hundreds, came down to a 80 and my blood work from 2.5 weeks ago showed it at a 36! I will continue to aim for that "under twenty" range. I'm feeling great (a LOT better than this time last year!) and I continue to believe that God has granted me the miracle of time. I never liked numbers in school. Math was my least favorite subject. So God found it funny to turn me into a bank manager where everything is about numbers. I suppose that prepared me for 100mgs of this and 2cc's of that, blood counts, dates, times and all things medical, which in turn, comes down to ... numbers. As a child I could never imagine life as a 37 year old. This is why from the age of 4 my favorite number has always been 36. Next Tuesday I'll be 40. FOURTY! It's hard for me to believe that I'll be "over the hill" but I'm thrilled to make it there!
Thank you, Lord, for all of my numbers!
Until a Snowy Tomorrow,
Kathy ... almost 40!!! Who woulda thunk it?
