Apples and Honey ... The Sweetness of a New Year

L'shanah tovah!

This evening, at sundown, marks the beginning of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year. To our Messianic and Jewish friends ... and to those, like us, who have a deep love and yearning to understand Christianity's roots in Biblical Judaism, I say "Happy Rosh Hashanah!"

For our family, we will celebrate Rosh Hashanah with the traditional treat of apples, challah and honey.

This morning Brandon, Alyssa and I (along with my nephew Christopher who is coming along for the ride ... well, we know he's a camera hog!) are going to be filmed at the Foster and Adoptive Care Coalition's Kidstore by Channel 5 (NBC affiliate.) The piece should aire on Tuesday evening at 6pm during the "A Place To Call Home" segment. The story isn't about us ... we're just backdrops! But it's fun to see your kids on TV! If you aren't in St. Louis, check out www.ksdk.com sometime after Thursday (when they typically update their PTCH webpage) in the "Community" tab under "A Place to Call Home". I'll try to post the story here as well.

Shalom,
Kathy
