I have a dear friend who is going through a medical nightmare right now. She is a very special internet sister and a fellow foster/adoptive parent. Lyn has been a source of support and a true friend to me over the years. I only wish I could be closer to her as she is going through this. This is exactly why the internet has been both a blessing and a curse ... I've been blessed with so many wonderful friends, but when they need a babysitter, or help installing a new toilet, or simply a hug, I can't be there.
For those of you who believe in the power of prayer (and those of you who aren't sure, but are willing to try anyway!) please keep "Lyn" in your prayers. To those who don't believe in prayer, please think good and positive thoughts (and someday ask me about how I believe prayer changed my life!)
