National Adoption Day

Today is National Adoption Day! Every year Nita solicits donations to raise money for National Adoption Day. She buys helium, balloons, table cloths and other items to decorate the St. Louis County Family Courthouse for a big celebration. As many of you recall, last year our family got to be one of the families adopting on National Adoption Day and what an experience that was! I'll include a link to the stories below.

Sadly, this may be our last year volunteering for the event. We are considering a move North ... to the Springfield, IL area. I've always wanted to raise my children in a smaller town, in a bigger home, on a few acres. We think we've found the spot we want to call home. Carlinville, IL. is located just southwest of Springfield. It has everything we need ... small town values, lots of space, a fantastic school system with a great special education program, a Super Walmart ;-) and a population that already includes people of different races. Carlinville was also named one of the top 100 Small Towns in America. We're hoping Dad, Kristie, Eric and little Christopher will follow soon.

Until Tomorrow,
Kathy
