Phone is Ringing and DSL is Working!!!

We just went through 6 days without internet or phone service! AT&T told me they'd "guarantee" my service would be working again by 8pm on Saturday December 4th! Seriously! Well, my father pulled the "cancer card" yesterday afternoon and contacted their repair department. He explained that I had end stage cancer, had 5 children with special needs and was awaiting the phone call to let me know that my sister had gone into labor. I can't live without phone service! This morning, "Rick" showed up at my front door at 8am. It took a grand total of 2 minutes for them to restore my service! That's it! So, my apologies to all of you who have been emailing me and not receiving replies, as well as to those of you who were calling my phone number, only to hear horrid static in your ear!

Brief news updates ... Isaac got his progress report home last Tuesday ... he's doing AWESOME! He's got all A's and B's! It's amazing what a stubborn kid with autism and global developmental delays can pull off! He's smarter than he realizes. To him, learning is fun! I hope he always feels that way!

I was hospitalized last weekend. After 3 days in the hospital we learned very little, other than my tumor has decreased in size ... which is awesome news! I had chemo today after a doctor appointment with my oncologist. She seems pleased with my progress. I'll have surgery the end of this month for my urological junk. Nothing big ... not even in-patient!

My sister is ready to have this baby. She looks like she could pop at any moment! I jokingly saved the little plastic turkey pop-up timer from our Thanksgiving dinner and told her she should give it to her doc tomorrow at her final prenatal appointment. I have a feeling Evan will be coming tonight ... he won't wait until tomorrow. Mark my words!

I'm going to go cook dinner for some hungry kiddos and wait for Kristie's phone call. I hope we have good news to share tomorrow! I'm gonna be an auntie all over again! I love it!

Love to you all,
Kathy
