Today is my baby's 3rd birthday! Our family tradition includes a shopping trip to the grocery store where the birthday boy or girl gets to pick out their dinner and cake/dessert. I asked Brandon what he wanted for his birthday food and he replied, "Watermelon and candles, Mommy. Dat's all!" So after an interesting voyage through the aisles at Schnucks, tonight for dinner the children are eating watermelon, blackberries, cashews, cake and ice cream, compliments of their little brother. The cake has purple, blue and orange icing ... and the candles totally rock! They are blue, lime green and orange and shaped in a zig-zag pattern. I'll post pics later this evening.
Also on this day we remember Brandon's twin, Jaylen. She was born shortly after Brandon, but sadly didn't get to live a very long life here on earth. We still consider her a Jones kid, and we celebrate her birth on this day too! She is our sweet angel-girl.
